 Critical Information for travelers

Here's some important information received from Carnival. Two key items to remember:

(1) You must have an original CERTIFIED copy of your birth certificate AND a photo ID for Customs/Homeland Security. No ship boarding will be allowed without proper documentation.

(2) Departure time is 4:00PM. You can board the ship as early as 1:30 but the ship heads to sea at 4:00 sharp. Don't be late.


 

Carnival’s Online FunPass:

The Department of Homeland Security now requires all passengers to provide certain information prior to departure. In order to speed up your boarding process, you can now pre-register on-line.

You should pre-register NOW with the Online FunPass to expedite your embarkation.

Passport Data
Proper travel documentation is required at embarkation and throughout the cruise and is the responsibility of the guest. Any guest traveling without proper documentation will not be allowed to board the vessel and no refund of the cruise fare will be issued. U.S. citizens must present proof of citizenship in the form of a passport (valid or expired for less than 10 years), original birth certificate, state-issued certified copy of a birth certificate from the Department of Health and Vital Statistics, U.S. Military ID (no dependent IDs), or original Naturalization papers. U.S. Alien Residents need a valid Alien Resident Card. Canadian citizens must present a valid passport, original birth certificate or certified copy of a birth certificate. Non-U.S. citizens need a valid passport and a valid, unexpired U.S. Multiple Re-Entry Visa, if applicable. Non-U.S. citizens eligible to apply for admission under the Visa Waiver Pilot Program must still have a valid, unexpired passport.

Embarkation:

The ship leaves port at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, March 01, 2005. Embarkation begins 1:30 p.m. You must check in at least 30 minutes prior to departure to allow sufficient time for Customs clearance, we recommend you arrive early.

 

Sail & Sign:

For your convenience, charges for most of your onboard purchases (arcades, drinks, etc) are made to your Sail & Sign account. A required application form will be included with your documents. Carnival accepts American Express, VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card and cash for deposit on your account. (A minimum deposit will be required for cash accounts: 2 to 4 Day Cruises, $100; 5 to 8 Day Cruises, $200; 9 Day or Longer Cruises, $350.)

 

Liquor Policy:
We are sorry, but guests are prohibited from bringing beverages of any kind for consumption on board the ship. However, if you will be celebrating a special occasion while on board, a bottle of fine wine or champagne may be brought on board during embarkation at the beginning of the cruise only. A $10 corkage fee will be charged should guests wish to consume this wine in the dining room. Alcoholic beverages purchased in the ship's gift shops or in foreign ports will be retained by Carnival until the end of the voyage.
